I am a designer specializing in interface interaction, with a dual background in product design and interaction design. I frequently use various media such as sound and light to explore the relationships between humans and beyond.
Black Slime
With exploring the surroundings, an intriguing thought came to me: Is it possible for humans to create a form of life that doesn't rely on human existence, but can directly live in the natural environment?
After some contemplation, I settled on the theme for my project: The Interaction Between Artificial Life and Nature. Based on this theme, my objectives to address include: determining the basic constitution of artificial life, understanding how it can harness energy from nature, and exploring the modes of interaction between the artificial life and the natural environment.
It’s a project based on Energy Harvesting, utilizing electricity to create a magnetic field that drives a substance called ferrofluid, aptly named "Black Slime" due to its appearance. This ferrofluid responds to magnetic fields and exhibits visually appealing behaviors. Drawing inspiration from slimes in fantasy, which are known to hide in shadows, the "Black Slime" reacts to surrounding light levels, adjusting its behavior based on brightness variations.

这个项目基于能量收集技术,利用电力生成磁场,从而驱动磁流物质。由于其外观特征,我将其形象地称为“黑色史莱姆”(Black Slime)。磁流体能够对磁场作出反应,并展现出极具视觉吸引力的动态行为。我从幻想作品中的史莱姆生物汲取灵感,这些生物往往隐藏在阴影之中。同样,“史莱姆”也会对周围的光照水平作出反应,并根据亮度变化调整自身的运动模式,其逻辑为,趋向阴暗位置运动。




Paper Folding Lego
Paper Folding, as a traditional craft, is widely appreciated. I have attempted to combine conductive ink with Paper Folding techniques to explore the possibilities of paper art in the technological era. This work leverages the properties of magnets, making the connection between positive and negative poles simple and reliable. Users can easily integrate the origami pieces into the scene through simple magnetic attachment.
折纸作为一种传统工艺,广受喜爱。我尝试将导电墨水与折纸技艺相结合,探索折纸艺术在科技时代的可能性。该作品利用磁铁的特性,使正负极的连接变得简单且可靠。使用者可以通过磁性吸附的方式,轻松将折纸作品融入场景之中。




Secret Box
My choice of "secrets" as a themestems from curiosity about what a piece of information, an idea, or a secret means to an individual and to others. As communication between people becomes increasingly intimate, the internet has captured a vast amount of people's secrets. Yet, individual secrets are of little significance to those who control social media behind the scenes, but they constantly affect our inner selves. The project plans to conduct an experiment to record and observe people's attitudes towards their own or others' secrets. During this process, the content and information shared by the users will not be documented. It will serve merely as a window, an attempt to delve into the intricate dynamics of personal secrets and their impact on human interaction and emotional states. This exploration aims to shed light on the significance of secrets in the digital age, where privacy is constantly being redefined.
This is a mysterious box designed for sharing secrets. It records and blends voices, allowing multiple secrets to echo, overlap, and mix inside, potentially creating unexpected reactions. In today’s complex society, people often feel overwhelmed and seek a private space to confide and reset their mindset. This box will listen and safeguard your secrets until you no longer need them—but beware, someone might be listening!
选择“秘密”作为主题,源于对信息、想法以及秘密对个人和他人意义的好奇。随着人际交流的加深,秘密作为副产物不断产生。这些秘密对社媒的操控者而言微不足道,却深刻影响着内心世界。
本项目通过实验观察人们对自己或他人秘密的态度,而不会记录具体内容。它只是一个窗口,旨在探讨秘密在社交互动与情感状态中的作用,以及在隐私不断被重塑的数字时代,它所承载的意义。
核心装置是一个秘密盒子,它将记录并混合你的声音。复数的秘密在盒子里不断回荡,叠加,混合,可能会产生意料之外的化学反应。在复杂的社会环境中,人们常感到压力,渴望一个私密的空间来倾诉与整理思绪。这个盒子将倾听并保管你的秘密,直到你不再需要它——但要小心,也许有人在偷听!


String Telephone
Speaking, as a way of communication, depends entirely on language—it’s a skill learn through training. But in many situations, it’s not always effective at getting the message across, kind of like kids playing with a string telephone. That’s why I thought about focusing on the core of conversations: emotions. Emotions aren’t as rigid as something like 0 and 1, so they’re less likely to get distorted when transmitted through media and are easier for others to understand.
Therefore, I have used this simple yet primitive form while incorporating AI to analyze the speaker's emotions, enabling the transmission of information. This takes the form of a toy telephone, similar to those used by children in games.
To achieve this, I have trained an AI model capable of accurately recognizing speech emotions, performing real-time analysis, and converting the information into visual representations of images and colors. The project includes a large-scale installation for an immersive experience, along with several smaller installations.
说话是一种最常见的交流方式,其效率完全基于知识——这是一项需要从小学习才能学到的“技能”。但在很多情况下,如跨文化/跨语言,它并不能有效地传达信息,就像孩子们玩绳索电话一样。这就是为什么我想重点研究说话这一行为的核心“情感”上。
情感不像机器所使用的0和1,同时在通过媒体传播时不太可能被扭曲,也更容易被别人理解。因此我使用这一媒介,使用人工智能分析说话者的情绪,以实现信息的传递,其具象为小孩子玩耍时使用的电话。为此我训练了能准确识别语音情绪的ai,实时分析并将信息转化为可视图像和颜色。目前制作了一组大型装置和若干小型装置,大型装置具有良好的沉浸式体验,而小型装置则模拟儿童玩具,使用简易模型提供基础但有趣的体验。





Space
In my communication with parents and children, i discovered that there is a latent need for a separate space for children, which can be very beneficial for the child's mental development. I analyzed the behavioral patterns of children in households and identified the spaces where they spend the most time: bedrooms and living rooms. Considering common mobility needs, I came up with a spatial product—a tent.
Unlike traditional outdoor tents, this design requires easy storage and quick assembly/disassembly, along with high adaptability to fit various indoor and outdoor spaces. For the material, I chose DuPont Tyvek, which balances the characteristics of paper and fabric, offering high flexibility while ensuring children's safety.
在与家长和孩子的交流中,我发现孩子们都有潜在的独立空间的需求,用于建立隐私意识,这对孩子的心智和性格发展非常有益。因此我分析了一些家庭中小孩的行为轨迹,确定了最常逗留的空间:卧室和客厅。结合常见的出行需求,我想到了一种空间类产品:帐篷。
区别于户外使用的帐篷,此应用场景下需要易收纳、易拆装的特点,同时具有高度适应性,适配室内室外空间的各种角落。因此材料选择了杜邦的特卫强作为面料,取其介于纸张和布之间的特性,高度柔韧的同时兼顾儿童安全。
